The Alaska Children's Choir holds two sessions of Summer Music Theater Workshops. In these workshops, singers explore techniques in singing, stage deportment, movement and acting while working on a short musical production to be performed at the end of each workshop session.
Session I : July 10-27, 2006
The Valley group and Anchorage group will each do separate productions: Valley group will rehearse and perform at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rehearsals will be Mondays and Wednesdays.
Group 1 (ages 3-9) will meet from 10 a.m. until noon;
Group 2 (ages 10-18) will meet from 1-4 p.m.
FINAL PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 26 AT 7 P.M.
The Anchorage group will rehearse and perform at Central Lutheran Church: Anchorage groups will rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Group 1 (ages 3-9) will meet from 10 a.m. until noon;
Group 2 (ages 10-18) will meet from 1-4 p.m.
FINAL PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 27 AT 7 P.M.
Session II : August 7 - 18, 2006
The second session will be held in the Valley only (Anchorage and Eagle River singers are welcome!) Valley group will rehearse and perform at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rehearsals will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Group 1 (ages 3-9) will meet from 10 a.m. until noon;
Group 2 (ages 10-18) will meet from 1-4 p.m.
FINAL PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 18 AT 7 P.M.
